About the event

Eve has existed since the dawn of humanity, every woman, every age, every struggle. She is the indigenous woman, the pregnant teenager, the survivor, the accused witch, the silenced voice blamed for humanity’s fall.

Across history, Eve has been oppressed and condemned, but no more. She is awakening as the original Mother Goddess, Inanna: creator, nurturer, and keeper of wisdom. Eve’s rise is what the world needs now, if only we can free her.

Powerful and provocative, Mandala’s new play Incarcerating Eve confronts the devastating effects of suppressing the Feminine on families, society, and the natural world and offers a bold vision of renewal and hope.
